Estrella del Valle Calzada is a predoctoral researcher at the Human Rights Institute of the University of Valencia. Graduated in Law from the University of Alicante, she has been awarded the Extraordinary End of Degree Award, the Scholarship for the Promotion of Academic Excellence (Generalitat Valenciana) and the 2016 AEPA Young Award for the best female record in the academic field of the University of Alicante.
He studied the Master in Law at the CEU-Cardenal Herrera University in Elche, having passed the aptitude tests for the practice of the profession of lawyer. He completed curricular and extracurricular practices in the areas of civil and criminal litigation of the Cuatrecasas Law Firm (Alicante and Barcelona).

Participates in the research project “Priorities in the review of the global and European security strategy. The preventive security and the test of the management of the presence of groups of risk “, directed by Consuelo Ramon Chornet and financed by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness.

His doctoral thesis, directed by Professor José Elías Esteve, and funded by the Program for the promotion of scientific research, technological development and innovation in the Valencian Community, is focused on critical analysis of the application of justice in the context of international crimes perpetrated in the African continent.
